The cost of these voluntary benefits are payroll deducted, just like your Medical, Dental and Vision benefits. You have 3 Cigna voluntary benefits to choose from:
1. Accidental Injury - Covers most types of accidents from a burn to an accidental death. The policy benefits are paid directly to you. Guaranteed issue - no medical exams or tests to qualify.
2. Critical Illness - Affordable insurance coverage reducing the financial impact of a major illness. Lump-sum payment to primary insured at diagnosis of covered illness or procedure. May use the money as you choose (pay your medical bills, clear up debt or take time off from work). Guaranteed issue no medical exams or tests to qualify.
3. Hospital Care - Any approved medical doctor or hospital may be used. Benefits paid directly to you and coverage is available for your spouse/partner and dependent children. Guaranteed issue no medical exams or tests to qualify.
The cost of the Cigna voluntary benefits is dependent upon one or more of the following:
